Who we are

This website is operated by BDS Dental Practice, 1005a Finchley Road, Golders Green, London NW11 7HB. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy on 020 8458 1611 or at info@bdsdental.co.uk.

What we collect through this website, and why

This website collects personal information in three places, all of them forms you choose to complete:

• The enquiry form — your name, email address, phone number, the treatment you are asking about, and your message. We use these to respond to your enquiry, on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us.
• The newsletter signup — your email address, used to send you our newsletter only if you tick the consent box. The box is never pre-ticked, and every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
• The patient feedback form — a rating and your comments, with your name and email optional. We use these to understand and improve the care we provide.

Please do not include detailed medical history in a website form. Anything you write about your dental or medical circumstances is health information, which the law treats with extra care — the forms are for starting a conversation, and the clinical detail belongs in the practice.

Marketing

We only send marketing if you tick the consent box on a form, and the box is always unticked when the page loads. Ticking it consents to hearing about offers and news from BDS Dental Practice — nothing else, and never from anyone else. You can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting the practice.

Who processes it, and who we share it with

Form submissions are delivered to the practice by Surf Pacific's forms service, which processes them on our behalf and only on our instructions. This website is hosted by Netlify, whose servers keep standard technical logs including IP addresses. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the processors named on this page and anyone the law requires.

Cookies and third-party content

The map of our location is embedded from Google Maps, and loading it sets Google cookies. One page embeds a video from JW Player. This site also uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how the website is used; these set cookies when a page loads. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time without losing access to anything on this site.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries, newsletter signups and feedback for as long as we need them for the purpose you sent them — responding to you, sending the newsletter you asked for, or acting on your feedback — and then delete them. Clinical records are kept separately by the practice under the retention rules that apply to dental records.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Contact the practice using the details above — there is no fee, and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

When the way this website handles personal information changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. Last updated 31 August 2026.
